Empowering Mental Health

Supporting Women Through Life’s Transitions

Emma Moody’s
Journey to
Healing

Seed & Soul Therapy was founded by social worker and fertility counsellor Emma Moody, whose own lived experience of anxiety, endometriosis, adenomyosis and IVF has deeply shaped her practice.

Those experiences led Emma to pursue a career where she could sit alongside people in their hardest moments and help them find a way forward that honours both their pain and their potential.

Seed & Soul Therapy reflects that vision: a practice grounded in growth, connection and advocacy, where your story is held with care, and where you’re supported to cultivate a life that feels more aligned, resourced and hopeful.

Qualifications & Experience

Emma holds a Bachelor of Social Work and has over a decade of experience across acute adult mental health, community services and private fertility practice.

Her training includes:

ANZICA accreditation (Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counselling Association), enabling specialised work in donor conception, surrogacy and posthumous reproduction

Perinatal Non-Directive Counselling, allowing Medicare-eligible support for pregnancy-related decision-making

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) for trauma, alongside ongoing CBT, narrative therapy, strengths-based and “no-bullshit” single-session approaches

Emma continues to work closely with GPs, specialists, private midwives and fertility clinics, ensuring clients receive emotionally attuned, clinically informed support across their care teams.

How We Work

Strengths-based and client-centred

We start from what’s working and build on your existing skills resources, values and resilience, rather than seeing you as a diagnosis.

Trauma-informed

We understand how the body holds experiences such as medical trauma, birth trauma, childhood adversity and chronic health conditions, and we work at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Transparent and authentic

Emma is warm and relatable; where it helps, she may share small pieces of her own experience so you don’t feel alone or “broken” for how you’re coping.

Practical and relational

You’ll leave sessions with language, strategies and next steps you can use in real life, while also doing the deeper work of understanding your patterns, “blueprints” and emotional triggers.
